Problem

This project was designed for my final exam. The topic had to be about redesigning a website. We were free to choose the topic, so I decided to create a CMS. I chose this topic because I had always wanted to create my own CMS in order to really understand how this type of tool works and also to challenge myself. Creating a CMS is no easy task. Before I started, I had to research what had already been done and how, drawing inspiration from existing CMSs.

Solution

I wanted to create a modular CMS using modern technologies. Since I use VueJS and Laravel a lot, I decided to use them, Laravel for the backend and Vue for the frontend. In order to have a high degree of modularity in my CMS, I decided to use a block system to build each page. I also implemented a menu system, forms, collections (equivalent to WordPress's Custom Post Type), and a role system with native search engine optimization (SEO) management.
